SLBANZ · December 2026
Business Innovation Challenge
A weekend for our Sri Lankan business community to turn fresh ideas into ventures worth exploring. Build with a team, learn from mentors, and pitch what you create.
Confirmed dates
5–6 December
Saturday & Sunday · 2026
Why it matters
A place to build what’s next, together.
Bring our ideas together
Sri Lankan entrepreneurs and professionals across Auckland are already building businesses. This weekend gives us a place to create something together.
Learn from experience
Each team will work with a mentor from our business community as they test and shape an idea for the final pitch.
Make useful connections
Meet potential collaborators, future business partners, suppliers, and customers through hands-on teamwork.
Leave with real feedback
Teams will present to a shared panel of four judges and hear how their ideas could develop beyond the weekend.
How it works
From first idea to final pitch
Six teams will develop ideas over two days, with experienced people from our community alongside them.
Find your team
Six volunteer leaders step forward, and participants choose the idea and team they want to build with.
Build with a mentor
Each team works with a dedicated mentor to turn an early idea into a clear, pitch-ready business concept.
Pitch and get feedback
At the close of the challenge, every team presents to the same four-judge panel.
